Prezident Brown is a conscious Jamaican roots reggae artist who carries a universal message of hope and righteousness. October 2012 Tads Records released his new CD entitled I Sound is From Creation. April / May 2013 he is slated to do the I Sound tour co-billing with Reggae Angels. Both artists bands and sets are consistently strong. Prezident Brown is an infuential musical spokesman and grassroots leader for the roots people. His popularity is on the rise as he continues to carry the musical torch in North America, Europe and beyond and to put out strong new CD releases.
Co-billing with Prezident Brown, the Reggae Angels recently released their 12th CD mid – November 2012 called Turn On The Light that is agreed to be their strongest album to date. November 17th they were top artists on the Pitzer Reggae Festival in Claremont, California where they performed a number of songs from their new album along with many of their old favorites. The Reggae Angels were well received and the vibes were high.
March / April 2011, Prezident Brown did a successful western US tour called the Do Thy Work Tour and in the summer of 2011 he was a highlight on the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Reggae on the River and a number of other festivals. This August he headlined the Beneficial Reggae Festival in Northern CA. Last August, 2011, Prez toured Europe where he is also loved and appreciated. The year before, in April 2010 Prezident Brown did a co-bill tour with the Wailing Souls which was a great success. Over the summer of 2010, Prezident Brown performed on the Reggae on the River festival, and numerous other shows. Prez has been consistently touring over the years.

The Reggae Angels have one of the most extensive discographies of any American based Reggae acts with 12 CD’s in their catalogue. The name Reggae Angels more accurately refers to the Reggae Angels vocalists and music act than to the musicians who back them. Musicians have come and gone and returned over the years but there is generally a pool of top musicians called on for each musical mission. Sly and Robbie backed the Reggae Angels in 2008 prime time on Reggae on the River in Humboldt, CA. The Reggae Angels vocalists are Fenton Wardle, Cynthia Roots and Angelica Wardle, Fenton’s daughter. The lead vocalist Fenton started performing for the public at the age of twelve, playing his accordion in the streets of San Francisco. In 1982, Fenton fronted his first Reggae band called Ily, based in Hanover, New Hampshire where he attended Dartmouth College and graduated in 1984. In 1986 he formed a band in California called The Chosen Few. In 1989 the band re-grouped as The Elevations. Fenton sang lead and harmony vocals and played keyboards. In 1992 Fenton started the Reggae Angels.

BIOGRAPHY: PREZIDENT BROWN
Prezident Brown, born Fitz Albert Cotterell, has been called, “one of the most interesting cultural dee-jays since U Roy”. Emphasizing positive messages, Prezident Brown has continued to pioneer his own direction, developing his own approach to dee-jaying that he calls, “The chanting stylee”.
Born to a Seventh Day Adventist family in Colonel Ridge, Clarendon, Prezident Brown grew up in the small town of Oracabessa in the Parish of St. Mary, Jamaica. He was forced to leave school at a young age when his father died leaving him with his mother and three sisters.
Prezident Brown launched his musical career at the age of fourteen, when he began dee-jaying for the Sound King Stereo Mix at the Bamboo Lounge. Initially known as Junior Ranking, Prezident Brown was dubbed, “Slim Brown”, by dee-jay Nicodemus. When he recorded his debut single in 1988 Prezident Brown was named, “Dancehall Doctor”. The late Jack Ruby, producer of Burning Spear’s albums, “Marcus Garvey”, and, “Man In The Hills”, bestowed the title, “Prezident”, upon him. In 1989, he joined Courtney Cole’s label, Roof International, and began performing and dee-jaying at the Rooftop Club in Ocho Rios. In 1990, Prezident Brown became involved with producers Barry O’Hare and Steven Stewart at Grove Music in Ocho Rios. It was Barry O’Hare’s X-Rated Record label that became Prezident Brown’s home base and it was X-Rated Records with Runn Records that launched his career in Europe. In Jamaica the X-Rated label took off as a massive roots revival swept across the country paving the way for Prezident Brown’s conscious style of reggae dee-jaying. In 1999 the Jamaican record label Kariang released the timeless, “To Jah Only” album.
In 2002, Jahmani Productions released a 2 CD disc called, “Showcase Volume 1″. The 46 show tour that followed that release took Prezident Brown across the United States and included performances at The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, and Reggae On The River. Jahmani Productions then released “Showcase Volume 2″, and “Showcase Volume 3″ which includes a live performance from the 2002 Mt. Shasta Renegade Music Festival. In 2004 the German based label Chet Records with Sony Records released the album, “Generation Next”. Prezident Brown’s most current release is entitled, “Showcase Volume 4 Health and Strength”.
Prezident Brown now lives in Ocho Rios, in the Parish St. Ann, Jamaica. He continues to record and tour. He has developed a strong following in the United States and Europe, and continues to grow musically and in notoriety, as a champion of the new roots and reality consciousness reggae movement. Prezident Brown entertains, informs and inspires.

The Reggae Angels vocalists are Fenton Wardle, Cynthia Roots and Brady Shamar. Lead vocalist and bandleader Fenton Wardle started playing for the public at the age of twelve, playing his accordion in the streets in San Francisco. In 1992 Fenton left the Elevations and started the Reggae Angels.
With the Reggae Angels, Fenton has produced Guard the Honor, Jealousy, Truth and Conviction, Spirit, Signs and Wonders, Which Road Will You Choose, Live Positive, Come To Jah, Save Our Souls, A Heart With Love, Balance, Make Blessings and Prophetic Mission. Augustus Pablo is featured playing melodica and synthesizer on the earlier works, adding his melodious far eastern sound. The early mixing was done in Jamaica with some of the top engineers there including Sylvan Morris, David Rowe, Soljie, Dr. Marshall and Hugh Palmer. Scientist mixed the next four CDs in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Their subsequent albums, Balance, Make Blessings and Prophetic Mission were mixed at Lion and Fox recording studios, in Washington DC by Jim Fox.
